And yes, she apparently wore some longer version of this suit to the Oscars. (Cue your favorite "Winter's Bone" joke)
Look, I could give a shit less who President Obama picks to win the national title every year -- and I like the guy -- but I'm a little upset by the fact that Andy Katz gets to go to the White House and make stupid jokes every year. Is it just me, or did he look pissed that Obama -- Wait, he picked Purdue to beat Notre Dame? You just lost a vote, Mr. Obama. If that's your real name. Were you even born here? (ESPN)
It's looking more and more like Kyrie Irving is going to play for Duke in the NCAA Tournament. I have no clue ho much this will help Duke, considering he hasn't played in months. But you may want to adjust your bracket accordingly. Or not. (SI)
The Lions hosted Prince Amukamara and Cameron Jordan on Tuesday as they prepare for the NFL Draft. I will do a cartwheel while holding two sparklers -- one in my teeth and the other in my ass -- film it and post it to the blog if Amukamara falls to the Lions. The amount of shock and and happiness that this would cause me would be amazing. (Freep)
I'm too lazy to look this up, but I know I said on this very blog that I believed Cam Newton would be the No. 1 pick before things were all said and done. Well, it's looking more and more like I'm a genius. I understand Newton had some issues with accuracy at his combine workout, but we all watched him in real-life, game situations against top-notch defenses make huge plays with his legs and his feet. This is something Blaine Gabbert failed to do in the biggest games. (Charlotte Observer)
Here is Chicago Tribune columnist David Haugh's thoughts on the investigation into Notre Dame's use of a hydraulic lift the day Declan Sullivan died. Here are my thoughts: As much as I love Brian Kelly, if he personally made the call that Sullivan had to go up on that lift the day he died, I wouldn't have a problem if the university decided to fire him. But I don't think he's the one that told him to go up there, and I think someone else is going to lose their job over this. The whole thing sucks. (Chicago Tribune)
Now union members have descended upon Michigan's capitol to protest Rick Snyder's budget and emergency financial manager plans. Unlike in Wisconsin, I don't think the Democratic senators in Michigan will flee the state (and let's hope they don't, because my god is that annoying), so most of Snyder's stuff will pass without a lot of trouble -- the emergency manager stuff already did -- so this is probably all for show. Perhaps it will turn into higher voter turnout in the next election. Whatever. I'm angry too, but I've found he best form of protest in our nation is to become an informed voter. (LSJ)
Japan is still in trouble, and the fact that nuclear reactors are closer to blowing up each day doesn't help. This has forced the emperor to make "an unprecedented" televised address to the country. Anyone else find it odd this is "unprecedented?" (Huffington Post)
Today's Amazingness proves that I'm really just a 10-year-old kid in a 28-year-old man's body:
