Morning Head: Heat choke or Dirk-Gasm?

Willa Ford, who is the single biggest reason why Mike Modano will retire this offseason. Also, he's old, and was a healthy scratch through the playoffs. But she's not a bad reason, either.

So the headline: Choke or ridiculous comeback? Can I just say both? Is that a puss move? Yes? Fuck it, both. I still had 3/4 of a beer left, so I didn't turn off the television when it was 88-73 with about 6 1/2 minutes to play, but I was tempted to turn the channel. Then the Mavs figured things out. They forced the Heat to take tough shots from the outside instead of just clearing out so Dwyane Wade and LeBron James could continue their two-man slam dunk contest. They also hit shots as the Heat's defense started to crumble. And, of course, Dirk. He scored the final nine points for the Mavs, including a three to give them the lead, and a lefty layup that won it. Also, Wade did this after missing a shot at the buzzer. I really fucking hate that guy. (Miami Herald)
